Who Are We?

We operate two not-for-profit organizations. Our US organization is ROME Foundation International which is headquartered in Tampa Florida. Our Haiti not-for-profit organization (“NGO”) is Organisation ROME Haiti which was recently acknowledged as one of the top 15 NGO’s in Haiti. ROME is the acronym for Redeployment of Medical Equipment. Both organizations have been providing healthcare, healthcare supplies and healthcare support in Haiti for over 10 years. ROME Foundation International is a qualified 501(c)(3) charity. Our current corporate partners are Axiom Laboratories, Sonic Healthcare USA, Meridian Laboratories, and Airline Ambassadors. These corporate partners have assisted us over the past 10 years with the establishment in Haiti of numerous medical clinics, an urgent care center, two CT scanner centers and one clinical laboratory.

ROME’s accomplishments have been made possible with many generous donations by individuals and businesses throughout the world. Your donation will directly provide life saving services that would not otherwise be available without your help.

What Are We Doing To Help Haiti Earthquake Survivors?

We have deployed approximately 200 physicians, nurses and medical assistants to Haiti since the earthquake devastated Haiti. The deployment was to an otherwise neglected area of Port au Prince known as Carrefour. The mayor of Carrefour “turned over” to our organization the area’s sports complex for our operations. Additional medical personnel will continue to be deployed indefinitely. The Haitian government has given us the responsibility to coordinate reconstruction and relief efforts for the city of Gressier. Gressier is located near the epicenter of the earthquake and has approximately 60,000 homeless Haitians.

How Can You Help?

We desperately need food, water and medical supplies. The best way you can help us is with monetary donations so we can purchase these much needed items. You may donate by clicking the "DONATE" button at the top or bottom of any webpage on this site, or by calling Karen Anderson at 727-643-3270.  You will receive a letter acknowledging your tax deductible contribution. If you are an employer, we ask you to consider joining the many companies around the world that have provided corporate donations and/or instituted payroll deduction matching programs. You can also ask your civic organization, church/temple etc if they want to conduct a fundraising drive. Finally, you can pass-out or place our brochures at your business location.
